While researching ways to increase food security within our local community, we were amazed by the potential for freeze drying to help preserve our own garden's bounty, as well as the harvests of local farmers.

With rising food costs and the increasing threat of food shortages, we want to make sure every household always has access to nutritious (& delicious) food.

Freeze dried food is the most shelf stable and portable food you can have in your pantry or emergency bag.

After much success with our own personal freeze drying endeavours, we wanted to help make freeze dryers more accessible to British Columbians.

In 2024, we opened Island Harvest as British Columbia's first official Harvest Right dealer to stock machines and accessories on site.

We value personal interactions with real humans and are the only Harvest Right dealer in Canada to offer in-person assistance.
